Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center: Open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Capitol Store hours are 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday; 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.
Self-guided tours, an orientation video, and hands-on activities are available at the Capitol Visitor Center.
Guided historic tours
Description
Monday - Friday: 9, 10, and 11 a.m., 1, 2, and 3 p.m.
Saturday: 10 and 11 a.m., 1,2, and 3 p.m.
Guided dome tours
Description
Monday - Friday: 9:15, 10:15, and 11:15 am.; 1:15, 2:15, and 3:15 p.m.
Saturday: 10:15 and 11:15 a.m.; 1:15, 2:15, and 3:15 p.m.

Locating the Capitol
Please follow these driving directions to the parking lot on the north side of the building instead of your GPS.
Entering the building
- Only public entrance is on ground level through the north wing from 8th Avenue

Parking
- Underground parking garage entrance is located on 8th Avenue between Harrison and Van Buren, open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday
- Off street parking available on 8th Avenue
- Alternative parking available in the Kansas Judicial Center lot for all types of vehicles, including buses, campers, trailers, and fifth wheels
